HOTV optotypes are great for testing pediatrics and illiterate adults. The use of only four easily recognizable optotypes makes it so even children that are preliterate can be easily taught the letters and can respond with the use of the response key and flash cards. HOTV optotypes are useful for testing children 3-5 years in age.

Patti Pics flip book features a MassVat design. This design uses a contour bar around the optotype lines for adequate contour interaction. Testing pediatrics with the MassVat design yields high results. The use of the MassVat contoured lines helps in the detection of childhood vision problems such as Amblyopia.

SLOAN optotypes are great for testing contrast sensitivity vision test includes a legend card for easier recordings. Also, eye test features five levels of contrast for more precise diagnosis of contrast vision. Chart also uses Sloan optotypes that are highly reliable and repeatable. Test includes recording forms for precise vision records. Great for clinical use.

The use of two separate flip books while testing one patient is a useful and accurate procedure. With the use of two flip books, repetitive testing is possible without the possibility of memorization. Both flip books, Cat. No. 2705 and Cat. No. 2704 use 5 levels of contrast and a 9.5 M size for testing. Also, both flip books come with instructions and recording forms for accurate and reliable testing.
