Designed for use with children who have reached an eighteen-month to three-year developmental level. The test presents a pair of picture cards to a child; the child is required to distinguish a cereal picture card from a box picture card. There are six pairs of pictures that have been rated for size according to the distance at which a person with normal vision can distinguish the pairs. The distance at which a child responds correctly, along with the card size, can be used to estimate that child’s visual acuity.
