Precision Vision is pleased to announce that it now carries an essential tool in baseline optical triage: the Optec® 5000 Series Vision Screener portfolio from Stereo Optical.

The Optec® 5000 series allows for comprehensive visual testing matrices to be executed in minimal time, helping industrial clinics, schools, and eye care practices maintain rapid throughput. Available in both standard and specialized peripheral testing configurations, the 5000 series screens patient performance under a rich variety of focal states: monocular, binocular, near, distance, and intermediate depths.

Peripheral Mapping: The specialized Optec® 5000P and 5500P models also function as automated peripheral vision screeners, adding critical visual field validation fields to your standard baseline tests.

Interface Options and Slide Customization

To maximize lane space adaptation, the model line offers distinct operator interfaces: the Optec® 5000 and 5000P feature an integrated, back-mounted control panel, while the premium 5500 and 5500P configurations come equipped with a separate remote control pad. This choice allows for a greater degree of positional flexibility in where screenings are administered.

All models operate as quick, highly repeatable, and objective screening tracks that require no extensive training or formal technician certification to use. The lightweight, compact design features built-in distance and near lens packages.

Each unit includes a standard slide package containing 12 diagnostic test slides. For highly customized clinical or occupational environments, operators can develop a custom vision testing slide library using an expansive database of more than 150 available test slides.
