For decades, Precision Vision has supported the advancement of ophthalmology, optometry, low vision rehabilitation, education, and visual function assessment through clinically trusted testing solutions designed for consistency and reproducibility. Precision Vision started because the visual function tests being used in clinical research were not built for clinical research. They were classroom charts and clinical instruments adapted in the field. The endpoint data showed it.
Our founder built the original ETDRS-Revised series to fix that. The chart became the standard for retinal trials within a decade. Today, more than fifty years later, it remains the most-cited visual acuity instrument in ophthalmology research, used in landmark studies including ETDRS, AREDS, AREDS2, DRCR.net, and most major retinal and vision trials of the last thirty years.
Vision testing is a measurement instrument. Treat it like one, or your endpoint data will reflect the lack of rigor.

Every chart, every illuminator, every accessory is produced under ISO 13485:2016 quality management at our Woodstock, Illinois facility. Every product family has been validated, peer-reviewed, and accepted by FDA, EMA, PMDA, and other major regulators as primary endpoint tools.
