PV Numbers Series ETDRS®

The PV Numbers Series ETDRS® chart family — Chart 1, Chart 2, Chart 3, or the full Set of 3 — using the PV Numbers (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9) optotype set across the four standard ETDRS testing distances (2 m, 2.5 m, 3 m, 4 m).

PV Numbers were developed to give numerically-literate patients a reliable Snellen-equivalent test that works across language barriers and avoids ambiguous letter optotypes. Use Charts 1, 2, and 3 in rotation as alternate-form charts to eliminate learning effects across repeat visits.

Designed to fit the 2425 / 2425 LED Large ETDRS® Illuminator Cabinets. A scrambled-form variant of Chart 1 is available as a separate product for advanced repeat-measurement protocols.
