Bon Voyage Dr. Hoggatt and the MacKinneys!

Supplying Diagnostic Testing Instrumentation to Support the Launch of Mercy Clinic in Chepuwa, Nepal

Establishing Permanent Eye Care Infrastructure

Precision Vision extends its warmest thoughts and well wishes to Dr. Judy Hoggatt of Suson Eye Specialists, M.D. S.C., along with Ted and Rachel MacKinney representing TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). The team embarked on a medical mission to the remote Sankhuwasabha district in Nepal, positioned east of Mt. Everest, to establish Mercy Clinic—a permanent healthcare installation in the isolated village of Chepuwa.

Fulfilling our commitment to expand global sight preservation, Precision Vision supplied specialized screening metrics and calibrated diagnostic tools for the deployment. These assets empower Dr. Hoggatt and her team to train on-site medical assistants, execute comprehensive baseline vision testing, and perform critical diagnostic screenings and minor ophthalmic surgical interventions for an underserved population. We look forward to tracking their logistical success upon their return!

The Science of Human Contrast Vision

While entertainment mediums capture headlines with fictional narratives about shades of grey, modern psychophysics reveals a far more fascinating biological milestone: the healthy human eye can accurately distinguish as many as **500 distinct gradations of grey** under proper illumination.

At Precision Vision, we are clinically obsessed with calibrating those precise steps. Mapping a patient's threshold curve via standardized Weber or Michelson ratios uncovers hidden vision deficits that traditional high-contrast Snellen lines miss entirely.
