Global Certification of Examiners & Exam Lanes
Precision Vision Clinical Trial Solutions™ Secures Rigorous Data Integrity Across Multi-Center Studies
Standardizing Global Visual Endpoints
Precision Vision Clinical Trial Solutions (PVCTS) serves as the primary international gateway for **Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA)** validation, providing comprehensive site certifications for examiners and exam lanes worldwide. Backed by fifty years of specialized manufacturing craftsmanship, our team audits local lane geometry and photometric parameters to deliver absolute site readiness.
This extensive multi-center research background grants PVCTS a unique ability to tailor individual testing protocols across complex protocols—spanning Retina, Neurology, and Pediatrics. By consolidating hardware provisioning, investigator training, and documentation logistics into a single stream, we eliminate data fragmentation and build uncompromised sponsor confidence.

- **Full Certification Scope:** Rigorous site verification of visual acuity examiners and physical lane dimensions.
- **Global Logistics Network:** Direct equipment provisioning and targeted shipping channels to clinical sites in **over 60 countries**.
- **Scalable Infrastructure:** Tailored configurations engineered for feasibility trials up to 350+ site Phase III settings.
- **Custom Coordinated Delivery:** Development of personalized documentation, trial instruction manuals, and data logs.
Effective & Efficient Single Point of Communication for Equipment, Examiners, & Lanes.
One Source. One Solution. Worldwide.
Validated Modalities & Standardized Assessment Portfolios
PVCTS implements hands-on training and investigator certification modules across a broad spectrum of peer-reviewed visual testing parameters. Our methodologies secure perfect data consistency, blocking operational noise from slipping into electronic data capture sheets.
Our standardized certification tracking encompasses:
• **BCVA:** Best Corrected Visual Acuity logMAR baseline metrics.
• **BRVT:** The Berkeley Rudimentary Vision Test array for low-vision ranges.
• **IReST:** International Reading Speed Texts across multiple language structures.
• **LCVA:** Low Contrast Visual Acuity lines utilizing calibrated illuminator cabinets.
• **MNRead:** Proportional continuous text blocks tracking reading velocity thresholds.
• **Pelli-Robson:** Gold-standard single-size letter contrast sensitivity matrices.
• **Teller Acuity Cards:** Preferential looking square-wave gratings for pediatric assessment.

Q: Does PVCTS turn away early-stage feasibility trials, or studies restricted to a very limited number of clinical sites?
A: Absolutely not. No trial configuration is too small or too massive for our logistics pipeline. PVCTS proudly manages global studies ranging across the complete clinical lifecycle—from specialized 3-site feasibility programs up to 350+ site Phase III post-market tracking protocols.
Executive Profile: Melissa Cowen, Head of Clinical Trial Solutions
This month, our operational lens focuses on **Melissa “Mel” Cowen**, who commands our Clinical Trial Solutions division. Mel has guided ophthalmic trial architectures and investigator certification processes for over twenty years, establishing foundational compliance structures for world-leading sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and standalone investigative clinics. From designing customized study manuals and structured standard operating procedures (SOPs) to verifying compliance with global regulatory frameworks, Mel balances rigorous data management with an incomparable level of professional warmth.

In Mel's Words – The Reward of Sight Preservation:
“My career in ophthalmology launched when I was hired as a technician in a single-physician general practice after college. Patients presented with deeply varied path-structures, but they shared an overriding terror: the fear of losing their eyesight. Vision is the singular sensory input humanity generally fears losing the most. Years later, while working with a corneal device laboratory, we commercialized an artificial cornea for legally blind cohorts. We treated an older individual blinded by severe bilateral chemical burns during youth, who had never resolved the facial features of their spouse or children. Following surgery, for the first time in their life, they could see their family members, the home they lived in, and the garden plot where they sat. These are inputs many take for granted. For me, the supreme reward of clinical research remains the power to provide hope while actively preserving and improving global sight thresholds.”
Core Alignment: Shifting over to clinical hardware, her favorite system remains our classic **ETDRS charts and backlit illuminator cabinets**, tools that have been a constant reminder of manufacturing quality throughout her two decades in global field certification.

Precision Vision Core Value Synergy: “Driven to make a difference” aligns flawlessly with Mel's personal philosophy: to actively leave our global community in a more elevated, sight-preserved state than the one she was brought into.
