Yet, every so often, a milestone occurs outside the lab that reminds us of the true human impact of standardized visual diagnostics. We recently received an incredibly moving letter from a dedicated medical mission team operating under challenging constraints in South America.
The correspondence came from Sandy Andrassy, R.N., a medical nurse traveling with an independent aid team near Quito, Ecuador. Seeking to bring objective diagnostic tools to a region completely decoupled from standard clinical infrastructure, her team deployed our verified near-testing targets to triage local pediatric populations.
