Uncompromised Luminance Uniformity: The ETDRS Illuminator Cabinet™ has served as the definitive global benchmark for vision testing for more than three decades. Engineered at the very inception of the National Eye Institute's original Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study, we delivered this apparatus as the world's first commercially uniform retro-illuminated system. The internal ballast configuration provides a flawlessly distributed luminance profile hitting exactly 170 cd/m² across the entire translucent test face.
